Orders open for Oculus Rift, priced at Rs. 40,000

Oculus VR began taking pre-orders for its highly anticipated Rift virtual reality headsets on Wednesday as CES kicked off. It costs $599 and will be shipped to 20 countries starting March 28. It will also be in select retailers beginning in April.

The Oculus Rift includes a headset with built-in headphones and mic, sensor and an Xbox One Controller. It also includes the Oculus Remote, which is a new device designed to make VR navigation easier and allows users to browse the Oculus store.

All pre-orders of Oculus Rift will include the games “Lucky’s Tale” and “Eve: Valkyrie,” and reserve a “place in line” for purchasing Touch, Oculus’s own pair of light, handheld controllers designed to be available for pre-order later this year.

Facebook bought Oculus VR last year in a deal valued at $2 billion.
